We utilise both our static plant at Mersham and our mobile seed cleaner to service our ‘Farm Saved Seed’ options.
Whether you deliver, or have collected your seed from Mersham, or you have the mobile cleaner come to your farm, we offer the same high standard of processing and seed treatment application.
Trials
We hold a Wheat Variety Trial annually to demonstrate all current varieties and potential newcomers to our customers. This offers an opportunity for growers to see varieties grown using ‘farm practice’ and gives an insight as to how varieties will perform on their farm and the market potential they hold.
In 2006 we held an OSR Strip Trial demonstration near Ashford in conjunction with plant breeder, CPB Twyford. Twenty plots, including 15 varieties, demonstrated different nitrogen and pgr regimes, as well as dwarf rapes, hybrid vs conventional and different establishment techniques. We will be holding another demonstration in June 2008.
